FINALLY got the chance to hit up Mission Bay to fly fish for my first time! I had a blast catching and learning new things to the saltwater style. Won't be the last time I'll be flying again in the bay!

Final count for the half day: 1SB and 8 SBB

Excellent! A great showing for the first time out! Beware... it could become an addiction ;-).

I am continually amazed at how hard the bay bass can fight!

It is an addiction! Since trout fishing is coming to an end soon, spotty fishing is the next addiction to my list! Learning and learning more things about them, I just need the "proper" setup for the bay now :D

Catching the bass on my 5WT feels like they are big! But when they are thumbed, I'm amazed how small they are haha.

    Thanks!

No, No! You are not supposed to have that kind of success first time out of the gate. People will think this flyfishing stuff is easy ! ;)

    Good work!

Is that a rental boat? can you rent skiffs for bay fishing? maybe that is what I need to do . switch from surf to bay.
