WOo Hoo! New Seaforth departed 12:30 PM and we were on the way to slay the rockfish!

1 hour drive straight west and water was calm, not windy, but kinda strong current.. We drifted around 1:30 PM.. My 2nd cast was nice I hooked up a double rockfish! But I was allowed only to keep 1.. Boccacio?

We were hooking up a lot of rockfish every cast mostly! My friend Koi was hooking up rockfish by the double but we limited out of the Boccacio.. And we had to throw them back, they just die and float  .

We moved that spot after 1-2 hours to a different spot for some quality rockfish. And it was TRUE! We were hooking up nice rockfish, the squid bait was the killer of the whole day! I was using a 2 hook feather rockcod rig.. It was nice :p We were still hooking up boccacio.. What a waste! I was helping out other people who were rentals, giving them my boccacio if they havent caught one, I felt sorry for them because they didnt catch anything when I had 5 rockfish already.. So might *** help them out, and not waste their money.

Last stop.. I caught at least 4 rockfish.. Small ones thought but its still good, I can make soup out of them :p .

The whole boat did a nice job and so did the deckhand!
On the New Seaforth with 29 anglers caught 109 rockfish & 1 vermillion rockfish.

    Heres the pictures!

There is a way to send them back down without dying. You'll need a spare set up (pole and reel), a 32oz weight, and a really big hook with the barb smashed or grinded down. I'll draw you a diagram later of how to fit it together. The little rockfish will thank you for it.

Delicious! I love whole fried fish. I even eat the heads and fins if they're crisp enough.

When the deckhand was filleting the fish.. I asked Cody if I can have the heads! I at least got 20+ heads and some other asian guy for 40+ heads, and my friend got like 5 heads only lol.

We make asian soup with the heads! Its good! :cheer:

I also eat the head if its crispy and the fins too, that got to be the best part! I love the stomach crunchy and yummy!
