Went out yesterday to see if there would still be some bird action in the South Bay. Instead I skunked hard and couldn’t even pull up a spotty. Guess I should have paid more attention to the day’s very small tidal coefficient...no birds, the water was dead still and what boils there were didn’t yield bites.

Decided to make up for it today by soaking market shrimp. Also slow today, but I managed 3 quality fish - bonefish, guitarfish, and a yfc.

Nice variety. Always nice to see bonefish. My last 8 hrs in south bay have been skunk city during slackish tides. Only thing chasing bait were needlefish (briefly hooked one on Kastmaster) and big jacksmelt.

It's been a slow weekend in the south bay for sure. Couldn't even catch a stingray!

It was pretty grassy, but not enough to affect the fishing much.
