Took the 13’ whaler out of Oceanside with long rod newell guy . Launched around 6:30 but it was a little too windy so we made some bait inside the harbor until about 7:15. Headed out to some local honey holes and had a steady bite all morning. No big ones today, but a nice mixed bag. Headed back to harbor around 11:30 when we were getting soaked. Most fish came on a chunk of shrimp or squid, few on lures, few on bait. Got a few whitefish and small rockfish as well. One nice rock wrasse. Bunch of short bass. Got queen fish and anchovies on the sabiki.

FYI remember to check your jigs for a hook protector... I took a new jig out of the package and tied it on, fished it for 30 minutes, missed a few bites... finally pull up a sand bass and see my hook had a piece of clear plastic tubing on it LOL
