Hmmm...I thought to myself...who is that guy in line launching after me who yelled hey VinnyBass? My eyes could not believe it as it was the recently retired skillful angler who we all know as mcfish. Wow...he was roughing it today to come all the way down from Ramona to Lake Murray today to test the waters. And speaking of that, Murray's water is a muddy green color (mcfish pointed out later maybe that is why there was no topwater action because the bass could not see the shad...ha ha!). Oh yeah...back to the fish report. Lots of boats today as Otay was closed today. It was a little tougher outing for me today. I just could not focus on what I was doing as I kept going back and forth between flipping in the tulles to just going over many times to see how mcfish was doing in different parts of the lake(he may have tried to get a restraining order, but I think he was put on hold and gave up). It was great sharing fish stories and I always have fun enjoying his witty humor. Oh yeah....back to the fish report again. The bass were playing hard to get or maybe I just worked my worms just too fast in the 81 degree water. I did put 4 bass in the boat when I settled down a little...one on a fluke, a craw bait and 2 on plastic worms. Nothing big(3lb'er was tops), but here is a couple pics anyway. I am sure mcfish will have some comments as he caught more bass than I did. Like I said he is "the recently retired skillful angler who we all know as mcfish. Had fun with mcfish today and no matter what happens on the lake, it is always fun to come home and have 2 boxes from the Bass Pro Shop and a Tackle Warehouse box waiting on my porch for me as icing on the cake!
