Knowing the temps would be in the middle to high 90's, I still headed to Murray anyway for a a morning session. It sounds like a broken record as I first looked for breakers. Not much happening at all....l lost a fairly nice one quickly on a fluke which was disappointing. Then finally landed one on my IMA Skimmer...it was a small bass but at least I got a topwater fish. After a bit I gave up on topwater as the lake turned to glass and I knew the heat was coming.
I headed in closer to the tulles like I did on my last trip. It was dead calm and getting even hotter so I did not know how long I would last. Instead of dragging this post on for 9 more paragraphs filled will all type of details....bascially I worked plastic worms and craw-type baits and despite 3 mis-hook sets, I was able to land 6 bass out of the tulles this morning. A couple were dinks and some were a little healthier(nothing huge by any means) but overall I had a fun time.
After my last bass, it had to be about 95 degrees and everything I touched was crazy hot, so I headed home in fear I would melt in my boat...ha ha
A few pics(my phone was so hot it shut down for a bit)

Had to put this small top water bass in since that was my mission
to fish top water....ha ha. :)

Hey JJbasser ....there was some tulles down where I was fishing at Murray, but nowhere near the magnitude or what you experienced at Otay. I almost took a a few pics, but changed my mind. I am lucky Murray is such a small lake and not a lot of aggressive float tubers and kayakers.

Way to go Vinny! Even though it was hot and you left probably earlier than you would normally, you still nailed em. Good job! Thanks for the pics and report! I'll be heading down to Murray soon!

I bet you you would’ve been tossing a frog in between those tulles. :)
Hopefully you will nail some fish on those frogs you throw on your next trips and if they don’t work..,. I would put them on the hood of your truck and let them melt to teach them a lesson ha ha .

Not quite as healthy as some of the bass at the lake up near your house. Also those country bass fight harder than the city bass down here....ha ha
But to drive only 2 miles to fish at Murray...is a little easier sometimes. :)

Those tulle-lined city lakes confuse me. Never know where to start!

For you, you would probably start in the middle and then go to the right and for me I probably start in the middle and just go just a tiny bit to the left...but not too far. :)

Looks like you're eating a lot of burgers next week....Tues thru Friday should be around a 100'. Bring a dozen eggs and you can make an omelette on the deck of your yak...I'll take a Denver omelette please, mimosa on the side! Call me when its ready!

Heck...if it is too hot I will just stay home and look at YouTube videos of guys bass fishing and if it gets way too hot, I will look for guys ice fishing to hope me cool off. :)

You could make popsicles instead of omelettes...
