So...it was opening day up in the mountains, and I didn't want to make the drive if it was going to be crowded. I tried calling the office number, but just got a recording. Around early afternoon, I decided to chance it and head up there. There was a lot of congestion around the storefront, but once I got my permit and headed for the parking lot, it wasn't bad. Most of the people up there seemed to be having a stroll and/or a picnic. I squeezed into my waders (I need to go on a diet and exercise)and headed down the shoreline with a couple of bags of senkos and some hooks in my pocket, ready for some serious social distancing. The water near the shore was pretty warm, but once I got out past mid thigh, it was kind of chilly. There were a few bass lurking around getting ready to bed. They weren't as active as I had hoped, but I still managed a few bites and one little fatty. It just felt good to get out to one our lakes and enjoy a little time on and in the water.

This always seems to happen whenever I try to add photos to any post I start. I get an error message and just have problems. Then nobody can add an emoticon to that post either. The only like I got happened before I added a photo. :emoji_slight_frown:

Well, I had the same problem...but, like VinnyBass I wanted to tell you I liked your post. I know it felt great getting back out there, cause I did last week and the week before at Poway. Didn't catch a nice one like you did, but, fun being outside again and throwing a line. Thanks for the report!

Next time I do a report with pictures, I'm going to do the text narrative in one post and the pictures in another, so it won't screw up everything. That way, people can respond to the initial post, and also quote it without it screwing up their responses also.
