Lots will still grow...just slower and lanky. This garden gets 3-5 hrs or less.

    Flower pinwheel for birds ;)

I use rabbit snares, but they're indescriminate. I've snared a gopher or two. Has anyone ever used snails for bait? :emoji_thinking:

Do you have a drip or watering system? My yard gets fantastic sunlight, but I'm too "busy" to water the grow beds.

That is a very cool garden and that's a great idea on the snails for bait.

In winter only need to water like 3 times a month with good soil. With lots of sun, maybe once a week.

My garden consists of whatever seeds the rain causes to germinate! Early start this year... the weeds will be lush!

nice looking garden. I only have broccoli, onions, garlic, snow peas ,cilantro, spinach, and
alfalfa for the chickens. I do use a drip system for my garden, and it's on a timer. Really only
need to plant and weed once in a while. I have a few tomatoes that I started earlier.

I only do flowers, sweet peas went in yesterday, about 2 weeks late, snap dragons yesterday. I used to plant 4-6 different tomatoes but the birds have to put 1 peck in the fruit as soon as they just start to turn color. I have lots of volunteer cherry tomatoes which I let just take over

Aren’t those cycads like thousands of years of age.
    Not yours, but in general.

People bring pics in all the time wondering where, what, how on these things and the first guesses are always sagos, ferns or other palms.

Need to look closer to see what they actually are. So much character and an oddity. Good stuff, cycad nerd. ;)

I have to plant some garlic just so I can have the leaves. If you never tried green garlic you don't know what you are missing.

Just plant some cloves of fresh garlic and when the plants come up use a leaf or 2 like you would green onions. It is powerful stuff and a little goes a long way.
