Our SD Fleet was leading 24 - 17 Salt Lake City Stallions less than two minutes before the end, Stallions made it 24 - 25 with only 47 sec. remaining which were still enough for Fleet to score a field goal and win the game 27 - 25 Alliance of American Football As many have commented, one of the most dramatic end of a football game ever. Fleet's reserve QB Bercovici made a terrific throw to somewhat compensate for last week loss when he ruined already won game after he had to replace the main QB Philip Nelson due to injury.
Next week Fleet are hosting Birmingham Iron at SDCCU stadium and tickets start at $25 but good tickets can be found for only $35. Alternatively, you may watch live on YouTube if you search AAF Alliance of American Football
Not bad entertainment at all, see for yourself.

Haven’t really been following it but watching from time to time. Some really cool stories from some of the players. Would be cool to see them get picked up by an nfl team

This is because you haven't seen their previous game vs. Express in Memphis. Fleet were leading 20 - 6 until Nelson got injured, the back-up QB Bercovici replaced him and threw in three interceptions. Fleet lost in the last minute 23 - 26 in true Charger's style. ;)

Yeah, golden place to hunt for great talent. Nelson would be a great replacement for Philip Rivers.

Funny and Entertaining game. Bercovici played well. They didnt run the ball well at all. Kelly had a great game too.

I think I'm done with watching AAF games. Yes, amateurs, but the worst were not the players. Apparently AAF leadership thinks that referees should determine the game outcome and help equalize the scores and ranking by GROSS interference in the games. So many artificial calls and game changing "mistakes" I have not seen even in the last NFL playoffs. It's not only the commentators stunned by the activist referees, we all are outraged by the 8 men in black and white on the field ignoring that we can see it all on the big screen. Shame on them, twice shame on AAF for fooling us to believe them when they started!:emoji_rage:

Yeah, I hope the owner and his
Yeah, I hope the owner and his aides took a note: it is not just good players, coaches and schedule selection - skillful and honest referees are not less important. In this case it looks to me the referees gang ruined the whole conference. Given some initial success in gaining traction, interference and even corruption from NFL cannot be ruled out. Ah well, monopoly can always ruin every good effort to feed what consumers need. In this case, YT broadcasting was below the task but the most blame lies on the referees and lack of control of their actions.
Why a coach should be penalized for incorrect challenge but correct challenge wouldn't lead to some proportionate referee punishment? It could be a substantial fine, removal from the game, ban for the next one-four rounds, indefinite suspension etc. Large-screen review for any challenge, including missing to signal obvious fault. More challenges available for the coaches. Suggestions can be numerous, the real opposition may only come from the corrupted participants and the lobby influencing them.
If any new footbal initiative is attempted in the future the founders should get very good lessons from what failed AAF. While it would be still very hard to compete with the top NFL players and coaches, organizing a more honest game with more impartial referees is perhaps a lot cheaper and doable.
There is a market for an NFL alternative, the question is who can deliver and resist to anything from NFL designed to ruin the competition efforts. At least, NFL didn't rely on government regulations to destroy the young competitor as far as I know, so this should be still feasible.
