I think we should stick with shore fishing a Santee lake 5, it's small enough to be covered on the shore.

Ok here is a stupid question. But where does everyone live that is interested in this? I am in North San Diego County almost to Temecula. Second stupid question who here other than myself has their license and wheels?

I am not sure if this has been previously mentioned, I wasn't able to read the whole thread just yet. But please keep in mind that if there is any money or prizes award based on the catching and weighing of game fish that you need to obtain a permit from the DFG.

Please also note that SDFish cannot officially sanction such a competition for those reasons.

Your best is to get together as a group and go fishing and award bragging rights only and keep the money out of it.

hey, i dont know who u are adressing but im on here because i love to fish, i like figuring out whats workin at different lakes. i want to learn stuff thats y i ask ;]. im not tryin to make a speach on here but we still need a location. loveland is not like it used to be. sweetwater has 1 1/4 mile of acessible shoreline. that lake doesnt really get alot of fishing pressure, only right down from the parking lot...

Now you gotta think about cost of permits, PARKING, and other day use fees that apply to certain bodies of water. I think the last time I fished Santee it cost me something like 20 just for me to get in the gate. If I am going to pay that much to fish I just assume fish elsewhere from my boat.

Kellen is right about the legalities over this too. Best way if money were to stay involved is MBF (Money Between Friends) style. As for a true tournament I am talking to him about how to go through the proper channels to get it set up so next year something bigger can happen if we can make it all work.

Santee is 2 dollars during week and I think 3 or 4 to get in on weekends permit is $8 I think so it's definitly less than $20 I think the mbf is a good idea.
