    yeah palo,
my uncle in southern illinois is a farmer. he has a couple thousand acres. he had a 7 acre pond built and stocked it. thats the only place ive ever had such a fun blade bite. fish in that pond average 3lbs. thats half the reason i like going to visit. haha.

The dam area had grass that looked like Hydrilla. I hope not and I haven't seen that type of grass before. There was a lot of moss all over. It made bottom fishing tough

    Hey Greg,
Thanks for the report. i am going on the 21st and I have only been bass fishing for a couple months and I just wanted to know what blades are. Is that another name for spinner baits? If not can you clarify and in your best opinion which one should I buy? When you used the Senko, did you fly line or texas or carolina rig? Also, what is a baby bass reeper? I have been trying to find it buy can't seem to get a picture. I know these are a lot of questions but whatever you can help with would be great. Thanks in advance. Have never really had a big day fishing and I just want to make my chances better by haveing the right gear. Great job by the way.
    Take Care,
    Fady

The grass bothered me and that is why I asked if it was in the back away from the dam. I didn't remember that kind of grass last year either. I was thinking the dam workers brought it with them.

yeah blade is spinnerbait. i use war eagle screamin eagles. i buy em in bulk from here http://www.wareaglelures.com/nickel_spinnerbait.html
anglers arsenal has em last i checked.

    i flylined the senkos.

    reapers are these./Users/gsurratt/Desktop/reaper.JPG
theyre my favorite dropshot bait. baby bass isnt a fav color. i went to boss bait and their selection was crap. i mean pathetic. i dont know if ill be back. $180 in lures in colors i really wasnt happy with.
i like the roboworm reapers best.

youll kill em regardless of color.
    enjoy yrself
