I want to catch some more here soon.
Always around even sardines. Baitfish are hard to predict though.
They are attracted to shiny bald heads.
Caught a bunch yesterday on Harbor.
any specific time/tide?
Sunrise, from like 630-8 . All caught on topwater and
Gulp Sandworms. The Spotties were crushing the sandworms too.
A lot at shelter island. Just got back. Some ranging from 4inhes to 15 inches. Some fatties in the mix.
The Mackeral were biting on Oceanside pier today. I was about half way up the pier and was using a Sabiki rig, size 6 hooks, tipped with shrimp. They were moving around a bit, but when they came by, everyone using Sabikis were catching multiple at a time. I had 5 on one cast. Wasn't much else biting though.
Good crop of fish, that second one from the top is solid!
There were fatties the night before.
Was there at Sat 5:30-7:30pm, Nonstop mack actions
Expected to see bonito or cuda in the mix but with no luck
