Buddy came to town and we got to Murray around 10:30. Used Drop Shot MM Roboworms, crank baits, senkos, jerkbaits. Getting to be 3:00 O'Clock and were were just saying, "OK...they're not biting, let's call it a day and head out". Went over to a pipe on the south end. Threw my popping frog, and WHAM. Nice 4.54 pound girl inhaled it. So, we avoided the skunk, at least. Would have liked to catch a few more, but that's fishing.

Thanks Vinny! I threw the frog for most of the morning/afternoon. LOL. Persistence paid off! She was a nice fighter, too. Went under the boat and into the tulles.

Nice fish! I have not had the chance to fish a frog. I'm sure it does well at Murray.

We have had very limited success with frogs at Murray. One year about 10 years ago it was lights out amazing. Same with a single day about 4 years ago. Other than that... I have not landed any frog fish there. One would think if they hit them then, they’d keep it up... Not for us.

Well, you would think frogs would do well at Murray. I can only speak for myself. Been to Murray 4 times and that was the first blowup/catch on a frog that I've had there. Just saying.

I agree with you. It is not a very kind lake to the frog fishermen. Yes you can catch bass on a frog, but my hats off to
anyone that can do it consistently at Murray.
