Just a little teaser, but we have something awesome coming down the pipeline this week involving a contributor that I've hoped to be able to involve in some way with this website for a longgggg time.

He will be contributing regularly on SDFish in two formats; a regular series of posts on the home page, and a Q&A forum here on the message board.

Personally, I'm more excited about this than probably anything we've ever done on SDFish, this will be a tremendous opportunity for all of us to really get some insider knowledge of what goes on at the lakes.

An official announcement will be coming in the next few days, stay tuned.

I'd love to do something similar for saltwater, unfortunately I don't have near the connections in saltwater that I do in local freshwater, so it doesn't come as easy. The saltwater scene is also pretty saturated by other sites, so its tough to find a new spin there.

Do you guys have any suggestions on who you would like to see contribute here from the saltwater side? I can approach them. Someone that is not already tied to another website, radio show, or media outlet?

Good call, it is indeed Jim Brown.

I would love to get Larry Botroff involved also at some point...

you still see him kicking around the lakes from time to time especially the night tournament schedule. He was/is the coolest guy when he was at the lakes everyday before he retired. It was so nice to bring your fish in and he would ask for you to bring them in so he could check every one of them over and explain about them especially if they had a fin cut. miss those days.
