0D32FDB7-20D7-4559-BB21-640D8C063A6F.jpeg I went fishin on the river today. I had a good feeling cuz the water has been clearing up and I’m seeing a lil more activity on the river water lately. The first spot I tried is one of my go to spots. I picked up a small Striper and a few small largemouth. That’s all I have been catching lately everywhere I fish. So I decided to go bushwhacking. 6A0F6C7B-F399-4662-A4C4-AEB1DEB0E12E.jpeg
This picture is after I cleaned it up a bit. Of course you need some tools. I have a push pole, trolling motor, big motor and today I broke out the Machete. To be continued.

I ended up catching about 20 largemouth and maybe 10 bluegill. Nothing big again but I did see a couple big boys. I hope to go back tomorrow with a special fly I have been working on. Let’s just say I’m tired of my brother catching the big fish on senco’s.
Water is 68-70 degrees and clear green.

The fish were very aggressive today. They were inhaling the flies. Just waiting for the topwater bite to start. Only one big bluegill on the gurgler today. I heard some more rumors about the Stripers too. Somebody did very well on a school of them the other day. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a wide open Striper bite. I have to go back to San Diego for a day or two but I plan to come back out.
    I’m liking this retirement stuff
