Missed a couple mondays, good to be back! Got to the lake at first light, parking lot empty, good sign or bad sign? Water temp 68 with a slight breeze to start..and no boats! Started the day throwing flukes, killed em last year at the same time..this year, nothing! There seems to be a lack of baitfish, which seems evident with the lack of any real topwater the last year. I don't really see any signs of shad, silversides, or even small bluegill! That might explain the smaller than normal weights in the tournaments lately. I switched over to throwing senkos and plastics up tight with only small fish to show for it. I soon moved out to 10'-15' and started consistently picking up fish on the dropshot..and yes Mr. Vinny, I was using 6" Robos and not biting the heads off! The number of boats picked up as the morning went on, guess people don't get up early anymore! The wind also picked up as the morning went on under mostly cloudy skies. I called it a day around 1:00, when the wind made it tough to keep my tin can in one place. I finished the day with 14 fish, nothing big, just fun size! I broke off 5 or 6 in the trees, but that kind of goes with the territory. 20220411_084616.jpg 20220411_103550.jpg 20220411_080532.jpg 20220411_100550.jpg

Mondays and mcfish go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly......but this time no heads of Roboworms in mcfish's belly. Nice to see you back on your Monday fishing San V schedule, while many dread Mondays because they have to go back to work....you are having fun.( Nice to be retired eh?) Everything this year for me is strange also and things(baits/techniques) that I was using a year ago that worked well are not getting the same reaction so I have been switching up things too. It is fun to find a pattern on days where normally other baits work and you seem to find ways each time to figure something out. Good job! :)

Thanks for the report. You always seem to find them. I was there too. Despite the forecast, the wind was really not an issue for me, but I got off the water by about 11:00. I posted my results in the Panfish forum.

Good timing, it definitely picked up after 11:00. I was fishing alot of areas wide open to the wind. I guess I could of found some shelter in the back of the arms, but that wasn't really what my pattern was. I've seen you out there before, missed you yesterday!

Still way down! It's been pretty stable for the last month. I think since it's supposedly our emergency water supply, they're trying to keep it at a certain level. It's still a mother of a launch ramp hike at the end of the day! Water is coming in from the Aquaduct, so I think they're just refilling what's lost to evaporation! I'm hearing some nasty rumors about what they're going to do to Sutherland and Hodges water levels...

Sad it's way down still. That launch ramp needs an escalator. Nasty rumors?? Such as?

He can probably spit them( roboworm heads)into a Styrofoam container and fill it in 2 fishing trips and later use them for a bait for bluegill. :)

That's why I'm so skinny, blocked up with Robo heads..! I can't make the fish look any bigger, my arm is only so long...I need one arm longer than the other!

I still can't find any dates yet from the city on when they're shutting down ramps because of lowering water levels..but isn't that just like the City!
