Only had 3 hours to fish and it was right thru the flood tide so without much movement the focus was on fishing structure thoroughly and keeping the lure in the strike zone longer. I lost about $60 worth of jigs and lures which hurt but was rewarded with some nice fish. Like they say if your not getting stuck your not fishing the right spots and today i fished the jungle so heavy tackle was a must, anything less than 20lb and you were broke off. My 2 best fish today were sandbass that measured in at 22" and a 7lb 24" model.
    Lure used flat fall
Rod st Croix avid inshore heavy
    Reel Calcutta te 300
    Line 65lb j braid to 3ft of 25lb maxima

Sorry about the lost tackle, but nice catch. Is that a PB for you?

Ya it hurt but the quality of fish that were coming over the rail is the only reason i kept throwing in that spot, to bad you can't dive sd bay or i would go get em. It's not my pb but it's the biggest sandie i've weighed.

Just wondering, why can't you dive in SD Bay? Is it because of the boat traffic for safety reasons?

If those are not your PB bass, I would like to see your best. Those are by far the largest I have seen on this forum. Well done.

You consistently catch some impressive fish that’s for sure.
Curious why your hiding your face on the pics are you getting groupies following you every where you go, I always liked seeing you next to your catch most times the fish looked as big as you, especially those Halibut pics I saw once. Thanks for the post
