Been wanting alittle rig to myself for awhile, been searching online for the past few days and scored on a good deal on a 13ft Klamath. Broke it in the Big Bay managed to put a legal butt on my new toy, some vina, and countless bass into the night around the barge. Fished till 1am and just had fun zipping up and down the bay. I'm surprised how fast these Merc 9.9 are. Almost feels like a 25hp. Untill then...

Nice break in, it should do ~ 17-22mph solo based on my last boat with the same motor.

Nice boat! My bro and I had a Klamath just like that and a western. They pulled many a fish on Baja expeditions. No prob for local kelp and even islands

Bad azz.. Congratulations Fishboy.. You can fish that thing from the Sierras, all around San Diego and down in Baja would be a perfect little inshore boat. I had a 17’ Gregor that I fished the hell out of here locally and 5 trips to mex as far Down as Cabo.. good times.. Scary times too.. If wind picks up in Baja.. Get off ! Get back to shore as fast as you can. It builds down there..

I was looking at a 17 bayrunner the other day, almost pulled the trigger on it but just settled with this. Maybe a year or two I'll look into a 16 or 17' :) I'm just so happy I don't have to run on shore to my crappie spots now hahaha

Nice dude. What little add-ons do you have on it? Been looking at buying navigation lights for staying out after dusk in my tinny. Also want to build a casting platform on the front.

That rig look familiar galen ? My son is enjoying his! Thanks again!

When the kids were young we fished the whole bay in a 14' Sears John Boat with an Elgin 7.7! Had to row back a few times. Good times!

Used to have a 12ft Western deep vee with a 9.8 Mercury pull start. Now havexa 1546 Lowe Roughneck with 20hp Yamaha. Love this boat for the bays and lakes.
