Went on a day and a half on The Real Adventure 80 . lots of yellow fin and a few skippies but the best fish the biggest and the jack pot winning fish was the Big Eye I caught. I fought with this fish for close to an hour. I got to break in my new Lexa 400 and a diawa bass rod. I was definitely under powered a little but I brought him in none the less. Conditions were good very small swell and on 80 foot boat. NICE Screenshot_20191012-164315_Gallery.jpg IMG_20191012_145902036.jpg
but was the best part of the trip was I didn't get sea sick at all . 20lb flouro blue label sea gar, size 4 hooks live sardines . fly lined. won 500 dollars what a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on jackpot. Thanks for posting. How many times did it take you around the boat?

Thanks It definitely is my fish of a life time thus so far and It ran me around the boat a few times then stuck in the corner for a while. I was scared that my 20lb line would snap or I would wear a hole in its lip. I had it at color for quite some time. hurt my back! But the fish gods saw fit to hook me up:emoji_call_me:

So rad! I'm curious, did the crew know right away it was a big-eye. I've never seen one but understand they can be hard to tell apart from YFT until you look at their liver.

Im not a tuna expert but after being fillet I was assured again that this was a big eye. Maybe after looking at its guts/liver?? I dunno, Also the meat was a deeper ruby red than the others. **** they could have told me it was an elusive spinny back red haired penguin tuna and I would have replied HELL YEA. Guess what I caught

Congrats on the big eye. I bet tuna you’re getting paid to eat tastes even better too.
