Nice trout. My question Queue is where the good mountain whitefish and suckers are. Are the suckers all Owens sucker, or were there other species mixed in like Sacramento? Awesome either way though

That's a huge brownie... They do get big feeding on their smaller cousins.. I have some old DFG booklets from the 1950s and 60s that show a netting done in 1953 by the DFG of large browns in Convict Lake...

Bridgeport Twin Lakes was one of my dad’s favorite places to troll for big Browns. He was obsessed.. I could only stand so many hours of trolling before I wanted back to shore to do my thing. Looking back.. I wish I’d spend every single minute with him in the boat , not knowing his days were numbered. He was a go big or go home kinda guy, and he was into trolling big Rapalas on light line because he believed the Browns were very line shy. Anyway.. ya, sure miss the big guy. He was one of a kind, well known, and very much loved by everyone that knew him including me as we were best friends. The mention of Bridgeport brings me right back to the good old days camping there with Dad.

Very interesting...I didn't know trout were a part of electro fish surveys.

 

As a part of the flyfishing community, it is constantly crammed down out throats about how fragile trout are....I'm thinking that if you can electroshock them, drive them around in hatchery trucks, and drop them from planes into high elevation lakes...they're not as fragile as we've been taught to believe! Those purists that tell us we can't take a 3 second photo because it will kill the trout...need to just keep it to themselves!
