Not sure I could find a spot further from this virus than on my float tube in a lake! Gotta find another state to live in!!!

I am soooo done with being protected!

Please see my posts in "Freshwater Reports" about lake closures. We have a voice...we just have to use it...

I wrote a note to the Mayor's office. I have a county address so I doubt it will be read. Even then, they know what is best for us, right? We cannot fish but we can stand shoulder to shoulder around Costco!!!

Dont people understand what Shelter in Place means?
Dont people get what Stage in Place means?
You ain't fishing unless you want to be arrested. Or have a private lake!

It's all to help protect city employees from getting Covid 19...
    Through handling cash!

Heck...I grab a handful of those envelopes and fill one out the night before I go fishing. I write a check and hit the lake and off I go to fish once I drop it in the iron ranger. Guess that ended.
Anyway....just an update on Lake Murray. After getting some gas up the street, I pulled in to the road that leads to the lake. There were 4 cars and a truck stopped near the gate with confused angry joggers, walkers, bike riders etc. getting out to read the sign that the lake is closed. I opened the window and yelled....hey what about me....I can't even fish now. After that I drove home wondering what in the heck I can do to keep entertained till I go to bed around midnight tonight..... :)
I guess the tackle warehouse site is my next thing to do after I write this reply... ha ha
Better to stock up than be left behind when the lakes do open later down the road.

I think the city is more concerned about being sued by one of their employees if one comes down with Covid because of infection from a customer.

Agree..shelter in place is a joke! All of the grocery stores are open, every household in the state is sending someone to the store and coming in contact with other customers! They are all risking contact with people that may have the virus! My job is considered essential and just today I was within 6' of at least 150 people...and we need to close lakes where I come in contact with NO ONE! Politicians are putting up a good front, but that's all it is! I listened to an L.A. Politican today read off a list of essential jobs in their city..it took 5 minutes and included pretty much everyone in L.A.! Either enforce it or get off the can! 100% or leave us alone!

My place of employment is shut down until further notice. At least two weeks...maybe longer. I will be needing to find things to do that don't involve me being stuck at home by myself. I was hoping to catch up on my freshwater fishing during this time period, but it looks like i won't be doing much of that after all, unless I travel to a different county.:emoji_unamused:

It might be open, however with all the bums down there I expect it'll be policed heavily and those guys love to kick people out.

Given we had hep-a and all sorts of things being passed around by them prior I am sure the bum patrol is working the populated parts of the river.

Some good down time to do some outboard maintenance and get the boat dialed for when the lakes open back up.

Too late! Someone needs to take my computer and my phone away.
Heck I am bored and since I won't be able to fish at a lake for a long time, I can enjoy going to tackle warehouse and buy hundreds of dollars(maybe a thousand if this goes on all year) of tackle delivered to me in the safety of my home to use when I can start fishing again.
I think it's time for me to admit......"I have a problem."

I think all my tackle will fit on this boat.
Only problem is I wonder how I will get this boat to the lake?

(No doubt I will have to sell off my Amazon stock though)
