I tried to post this on the old site this morning but I could not find it on the new one.

When launching a canoe at our lakes, what are you supposed to have with you besides a life jacket? Do they have to abide by regular boating regulations? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to find info for a friend. My boat has a motor

If you have a motor on the canoe I think (but am not positive) that it may need to be registered (depends on the length of the canoe also!). For the city lakes a type 2 wearable pfd for everyone on board (only those under 12 are required to wear it) and the $5 launch fee is all that is required.

Not gonna use the canoe for the night tournaments. But it might be a great way to sneak up on the bed fish at Otay. :p
