For sale. Cash only. Local pick up.

Selling off a couple casting rods that I am not using.

    Abu Garcia Veritas
7'1" Medium heavy, Mod-fast/fast action, 12-20 lb. line, 1/4 to 1 oz. lures
Feels closer to a heavy power rod so better suited for the middle to heavier side of its ratings. Asking $60.

IROD Genesis II Bub's Punch Rod
    7'11" Heavy, Mod-fast action, 15-25 lb./50-70 braid, 1/2 to 2 oz.
Lots of power to pull big bass out of heavy cover. Asking $80.

Would the bub’s punch rod be good for calico Bass and sheephead? Looking to replace the shimano curado I lost with something similar

You know I'm not familiar with inshore fishing gear. I'm mostly a freshwater guy. I guess it would depend on what you like to throw for calicos. It's definitely a rod with plenty of backbone and would probably be just fine with anything under its 2 oz rating. If you're fishing straight braid or fluorocarbon that would be best. I do not recommend braid to fluorocarbon with a connection knot as it will not pass through the small guides it has unless you use a short leader. Hope that helps or hopefully someone with more experience sees this and can chime in.

thanks for the quick reply; the only thing that drove me crazy about the curado I had were the micro guides, as I usually like tying a braid to mono/fluoro connection knot. I’ll keep looking; good luck selling the rods
