Hello! I haven’t made a post on here in awhile. Here are my top catches from the end of September towards beginning of October 2021.

Ive finally checked off my goal of catching two fish on 1 lure. Bonito and a Mac. Awesome fight on light tackle. My phenix trifecta ML hauled them in.

The bite has been hot for mackerel. I defiantly have lots of bait/chum for giants. It’s almost 7gill time

Jigpara standard / micro 10g-18g and Lucky craft 110 / lucky craft wander 110 was used to catch these fish.

The bay bonito bite was not as hot as last year, so far I’ve been only able to catch 3 in sdbay. 2B6FBE5C-08B6-4970-BE7A-016DC6BA92AF.jpeg

the barracuda bite is always hot during an at the end of summer. Caught 100s of those things it’s felt like. I was getting so annoyed of them, so damn slimy and seem to always get all three of the lc’s trebles in them.

The Corvina bite was normal for me this year. No giants. still looking for that Monster vina. I have noticed I catch bigger vinas in the night vs the day.

When you fish for those shovelnose what rig do you use? I always have issues with current pulling the C rig

I use a 3 way swivel or a spider hitch rig. Hook and weight being the same leader length about 1 1/2 - 2ft w/Chunk of mackerel. leave drag loose enough for fish to take but not the current.

I have caught Corvina on bare hooks on several occasions. Also spotties on bare hooks.

Solid summer right there, if cudas fought harder, they would be way more fun.
