How's fishing in this channel. It looks like it may be a good area.

My experience has been the fishing is better near the entrance of the channel by the bridges rather than the channel itself. Have caught spotties and halibut, but others have caught all your normal bay species. Tides seems to play important role with fishing in the channel.

The attraction of Liberty Station is it's protected from wind and heavy boat traffic which is desirable to kayakers, float tubers, and Standup Paddleboarders (SUPs). Spanish Landing, another popular spot, is around the corner.

Nothing in there but SUP'rs, clowns and a kraken or two.

I haven't caught much there other than spotties. With that said, I've seen people catch halibut, WSB, angel sharks, corbina, and have personally seen huge butterfly rays even way back near Corvette Diner.

Seriously, between the bridges and Tom Ham’s can be very productive. Had some great tube sessions there once upon a time.

It's my regular spot. Can be great from the water (boat, tube, sup) if you know the spots. From shore I would consider it a bit challenging but they are there. I've caught plenty of Sbb's, tiny bsb's, halibut, Corvina, macks, good sized YFC's and 1 sargo all from shore. If you are fishing either shore near the bridges, try 6ft+ high tide early morning or at night. You'll definitely pull sbb's and maybe a vina then. Or if you are into bait, catch some smelt on a sabiki off the bridge and toss it out for a halibut, vina or Sbb pretty much anytime.

That channel is like fishing in a nursery in my experience. The bridges is as far as I'll go.
