Looking for some water to fish tomorrow besides Puddinstone Reservoir and Prado regional park. Any suggestions on where I can find some bass?

Lots of work, but there are some in the Santa Ana River (not SARL).. I assume you are shore fishing? Have you tried Santa Fe dam yet?

Yes I’m a bank fisherman for the week. I’m at puddingstone right now and the lifeguard also recommended that location. I might have to give it a go.

You are in my neck of the woods. Sante Fe Dam, Yorba Linda regional park and all the local county lakes hold fish. They get pressured a lot so go light

No love so far at the pud. Water is very high. Piers and park benches are even submerged.

Try sailboat cove by the far parking lot. Nice drops offs their from shore. Also truly the other side near east shore rv Park. Fish that towards puddingstone dr. Good drop offs there from shore.

With the water as high as you say not sure what the shoreline will be like but those are proven spots for me.

Started off in sailboat cove and made my way to the pier afterwards for nothing. Ended up leaving right after noon for no bites. The pud remains a humbling lake for me. I’ll tell you what though, the way the lake is looking like right now...it’s about to be one awesome spring at that lake.

That is awesome news. A few months back that lake was really low.

I wish I took pictures to show you, but even some of those green piers were submerged. The green pier across from the swim beach was almost submerged. It was an insane change from the last time I went early last summer. CrAzy to think some bass could be spawning under park benches if the water stays that high.

That lake has always been tough for me. I think its even gotten in my head. Every time I go there, I go with the feeling it's going to be tough. I still go because I'm dumb enough to want the challenge... I was there at the end of December and was skunked. Santa Fe Reservoir is not as nice a lake, but I have far more success there. SFR is actually a good crankin' lake for me.
