Ban them. Pull there business licenses. Those overseas use militarty force to force them to comply. After all aren't we talking about human existence. Just like the second ammendment lets piss all over it as long as it saves a life right.

NEO Earth Close Approaches Climate change seems to me , although I have no Science to back my opinion , to evolve quite slowly in human terms . Lots of study , lots of media coverage . Lots of fear from some , lots of scoffing from others . Money to be made by some , lost by others . For those who like the science part of it take a long look at some of the data contained in the link above . The math and science is all there . Wonder why we don't hear the fear on this topic in the media ? look how close our planet comes to the big shotgun pattern in the sky every day . Quite a few close ones in just the next few days . What will we hear from our media , Crickets ! Even if small event was to occur do you think THEY would warn us ? Makes me feel pretty small in the scheme of things . We all need to consider our use of the planets resources and how it may effect the future , even if that future may just not turn out the way we would like . WR

I'll agree with one of those comments... setting FEAR into the minds of gullible sheep with no mind of their own is a very useful tool.

I was always confused as to why people take such aggressively ignorant stances on these subjects, for no apparent gain. like, what benefit do you get from pretending that this problem doesn't exist? why are you so obsessed with "owning the libs" that you actively destroy your own future and your childrens'?

Who is doing that? Are you living any different than the rest of us? Is an attitude going to do anything? Look at how liberal leaders are living!!! Are they destroying our children's future? Everyone is saying we must DO something but who is? Are you going to give up driving? Are you waiting for legislation to force you to?

I drive the most fuel efficient vehicle I can; I write to my state and federal representatives to support stronger regulations, I vote, I attend protests, I do my best to grow my own food and I try to buy local to reduce transport emmissions, I have solar panels on my house and I educate others. But all of that does jack **** because 1 flight of a billionare’s private jet produces as much pollution as an ordinary family of four does in a year.

Like Bernie and crew! Do they believe what they say? I think you believe it but I doubt they do. I do not believe it. I have lived through 3 different scary ultimatums: "we must do this or this WILL happen!" I believe that we should be good stewards of the earth, but I will not worship at the Church of Climatology !

Get on a bike for six years of your work life like I did... Then talk.. seriously, a bunch of crap.. keep talking.. both sides are full of words, but no sacrifice.. the deepest cut starts on your own arm...

I do my best to keep the carbon footprint low . As you , I produce all of my electrical needs for my home and have been since 2006 , My transport car gets nearly 40 miles per gallon . I would like to give a bit of scrutiny to the Billionaires Jet theory . Case in point , Cessna Citation CJ+3 executive jet . Average fuel use 124 gallons per hour , Average speed long range cruise 400 MPH , 3.2 MPG with 1 or 0 passengers . Most trips would have family or staff along so lets say 4 Seats filled out of 7 possible . With 4 seats filled thats 12.9 MPG per passenger seat . Thats about the same MPG as a the guy next door driving to work in his F250 daily . Not a good comparison as I see it . If you look at commercial airliners , considering the miles per passenger seat they get somewhere between 80 and 100 miles per seat burning 1 gallon of fuel per second . This is about the same economy as my Honda driving with 2 people in it . Food for thought . WR

Fair enough; and that’s why individuals, on any level, can’t make meaningful change. 100 companies produce 70% of the pollution. It’s the coal plants, the oil rigs, the factories, where the problem is at. That’s where change needs to happen.

And even if it’s all a big liberal conspiracy, I fail to the the downside to moving to renewable energy and away from fossil fuels. Because no matter how you look at it, Eventually we will run out of coal, and oil, and natural gas, and all of those are bad for us vis a vi personal health. If we had a major oil spill here, fishing would end for years. If we built offshore wind farms, the structure that produces would make for wonderful fishing

What exactly is wrong and do you have proof man is causing it? Look at history. You do know why Greenland was named Greenland?
That is the problem with the AGW folks. They scream something needs to be done and it always involves imposing greater government regulation and promoting socialism. The evil rich they claim are the problem while ignoring the fact that the poor nations are the biggest polluters on the planet. The weathy nations pollute the least.
Ever been on a busy street in Mexico and smelled the exhaust coming from those cars. I believe we share the same atmosphere so why not go harass them until they meet the United States standards. Why you're at it get China and India on board. Then get back to me.

Corporations are the problem, not the people. I know how polluted third world countries are, I lived in one for years. And it’s not really like they have the option to pay for more eco friendly alternatives, when they live on less than $10 a day. The problem could be solved if we spent money on building more infrastructure and pulling them out of poverty, but if we did that, then who would work in our sweatshops? Poor nations pollute because they’re producing goods to be sold in rich nations. We can claim to be cleaner because we outsource our trash and smog to poorer countries.
