Congrats to SDSU baseball

The Aztecs baseball team did what not even their basketball team could do this year, win the Mountain West Conference Tournament. They quietly had a really good year, channeling their "Win for Gwynn" mantra.

They're likely going to get matched up in the NCAA Regional against Oregon State, who will probably be the nation's #2 seed. So that'll be tough, but we'll see!

 

Well they dodged Oregon State, which got the overall #1 seed. Instead, the Aztecs are heading all the way to LA to play in UL Lafayette regional, the #6 national seed.

My hometown TCU got the #7 national seed, and will host a regional and super regional if they advance. So looks like I get to see some good baseball in person the next couple weeks.

 

TCU is on to Omaha. That team has a ton of heart, they're never out of it.

We'll see if they have the bats to win in Omaha. They have the pitching to hold the big boys to a few runs a game, but not sure if they have the bats to put more than a few up on the better pitching teams.
