Going on the Mission Belle tomorrow , what should I be ready to fish?

My timing on boats hasn't been great this year, last boat broke down even Fish reports look good offshore. I hope the islands isn't just more bad timing.

    bring the kitchen sink....
Could be good, could take some serious skill to get bit due to boat pressure, be prepared for everything.
When its time to put them in the boat, there will be no time to be messing with gear....

looks like every trip in august has been an offshore style trip searching for pelagics.
ide call the landing & ask them that specific question if it matters to you.
dont think theyre actually just sitting / fishing the Coronado's regardless of what the trip description says on the website. Then again the guy answering the phones may not really know.
Unless we have limit style dodo fishing tight to the island which I doubt, offshore searching for kelps, schools, etc...
just like the san diego right now..

So far, I chose a 20 pound rig, a 40 pound live bait, a 40 pound to do bait or surface Iron, a 40 that does iron better than bait and a 60 pound rig 7' rod, being my just in case rig. I really doubt we will stumble on giant bluefin so stopping there at 60#,

That's helpful, I wondered if the captain might change the plan.
