Decided to practice extreme social distancing, otherwise known as a solo IV run. Packed up everything I would need so I didn’t have to go to a gas station, store, anything.

Got to the first spot at 6:30pm, and within 5 minutes I had a double hookup with nice sized specimens. I didn’t have the expert stealth/chum skills as the coach so that spot dried up. next spot had 3 more cats, kept 2, and a decent bluegill.

Hopped around from spot to spot after that, to end up with 5 keeper cats and a bluegill at 11:30 when I headed back.

Bite was best prior to sunset for me, in canal gates that sheltered the high water flow. I gotta learn to diversify my technique though for the nighttime hours....

Nice haul! Do you stay the night there or just a day trip?

    Nice job,
Weather looks like it's been nice.
I bet it was nice to just get away, this shelter in place is a tough one. But if staying home equals not catching the virus or passing it on to someone , even older then me. Haha it makes it worth it.
Stay safe, thanks for the report.

Get em.. nice work as always, man! Enjoy the spoils! I will just keep fishing farther north and east, retreating to the drains, constantly moving, with as much stealth as I can muster, sleeping when I have to, fishing when I can, casting a lure here or there... Lol.. glad you made it out

Yeah, I’m much worse at night stealth than during the day (which I’m also bad at), I don’t have owl eyes like you!!

Beautiful weather right now, wind was down so bring bug repellent

Line in 630pm, left 11:30pm. Actual fishing time about 3 hr. Moved around a lot.

There was a bridge out on a road, that made transit longer

saw the cops dealing with a car wreck in a small roadside canal too - not a good time I’m sure
