I've been working on getting the van built now for a year and a half. I still haven’t finished the ceiling but fly tying station is coming along nicely. Who needs a finished ceiling. One thing I have decided is that the van will have a little bit of everything when it comes to tying flies on the road. In order to do that everything has to be compact. Here are some of the ways I’m going to make it work. 9B1EEA41-32D2-4580-A694-58DD1AD17602.jpeg I bought small boxes. In these boxes I have my sculpin heads, dumbbells and fish skull heads. With hundreds and hundreds of pieces in the boxes it takes up little room.

Up next faux fur. I plan on using a lot of white in the future so found some at Joannes In Yuma that was going out of Business and I picked up a half yard each of white and off white for 50% off. Nice and long. This needs to be cut up and packaged. I have many colors but not in this quanity

What do you think Tomaso I hear you have a van as well. Do you plan on having it stocked with fly tying stuff?

This stuff has to be packaged as well but I will never use all of it so if somebody wants some of it to check out and tie some flies let me know and I will let you have some no charge. Most of these move real well in the water

Looks like a man with a serious problem ;-). I do indeed have a new van (sprinter 4x4), but it's virtually empty inside. Haven't decided how much work I want to do on it... I sorta like things simple. Haven't given any thought to the fly-tying station in the van yet!

I plan on hitting the road soon in retirement. I would love to fly fish all fifty states in the union. Since Mt. Everest is now out of the question (old dream) I need something to try to complete before you know THE END :emoji_astonished:

Tomaso congratulations on your van. That is a solid ride. Be glad you bought yours when you did I hear the wait for a 4x4 is now over two years and getting longer. If you ever want to check out what I have done to my sprinter just give me a shout. I have tried to keep it simple if you can believe that. Mostly by not having any maintenance items such as refers, solar, bathrooms and what not. Don't want another house. I do plan on posting a couple picture's of the fishin parts of the van.
