Spring is here in beautiful Tejas! Hit up the creek by my house and caught 3 small bass right off the maybe 12 inchs.....No fish for a bit, then 2 back to back! Gotta love fishing with super light tackle. Got the first one and then the next cast got another nice one! Fish in photos same one. Zena loves them fish, gets stoked when Im hooked on!

That fish does look a little different...almost like it has a little bit of smallmouth in its family tree.

Good to hear from you Mike!

Thanks guys. They were differant then the normal bass I catch in the creek. The water was a lot higher, and the fish are headed up the creeks and rivers to spawn. Here is the 2nd of the back to backs. This dude put up a heck of a fight. The fin pattern is different on the back.

Hey Mike nice to see you still check in once in awhile. I went out to the river last week and passing Buttercup you can't believe what it looks like now.
They moved the canal over and made it wider so the area you came over to see us at is now under water, they also put up a border fence by the big power lines from Brock Research Center Rd to Yuma. So now some of the dunes is now off limits like the Mexican Blow Hole and such. Anyways keep us in the loop as to how you and the family are doing and keep posting the pictures.

Definitely good to hear from you again Mike. How is Texas treating you and the family? The school came within a hair of being closed down after this year. Lack of funding.

My wife told me about the school. Thats too bad. Great school, although I think the schools here at pretty good as well and I don't pay anymore :) St. K was definately better then any of the P schools out there IMO>

Fishing is good, Texas has treated us great, heck I even work for the State now!
