Got a chance to get up to the sierra's this weekend Crowley was producing I got over 10 Rainbows stripping a punk perch on a sink tip in about 12 feet of water and only 2 browns on a dark brown stillwater all fish were caught before 11am and then the bite slowed after that I went to Lake Mamie where the small brookies were hitting the surface all over so with the 3wt and a 22 bwo and a zebra midge I only managed 4 brooks maybe 8-10 inches and called it quits for the day.On day 2 I went to Tioga lake for some easy pickens over 30 fish caught it was a mix between Rainbows and Brooks all caught on a 18 bwo and a zebra midge most Rainbows were 12 to 15 inches with 1 pushing 20 which was a surprise for Tioga and all the Brooks were between 10-12 inches definitely had a blast and for the last day I just fished for about an hour at Lee Vining creek and pulled in 2 small browns and headed home all in all no complaints about an amazing 3 day trip 20171006_151742.jpg 20171009_082024.jpg 20171007_122546.jpg 20171006_081031.jpg 20171006_161036.jpg 20171007_183325.jpg 20171007_180537.jpg

Anybody interested in a run up to the Crowley area this weekend?

I was up there the 9/21 weekend with the Crowley Daphnia in full gear, and a cold front. First time out with the float tube up there.

I'd like one more "fall" session up there. I'm flexible on lakes. Kind of like Shaw5 reported.

After spending 21 days up there in sept....I was finally getting it out of my system...and now your post has my addiction starting all over again! Since I have no vacation time left, the withdrawals are going to be painful! Love stripping on Crowley, glad they came around for you! It's been a really different year on Crowley. Those are great fish for Tioga lake. The brookies on Mamie are just crazy for dries! Thanks for the stories and photos....I think?
