After hearing reports of what I missed last Friday, I had high expectations. Normally 6 fish, one broken off and a couple misses is a good morning, but I was hoping for more.
Some (Bassman2008) did do better... much better. On his first visit to the little mud hole he scratched out 12 with a 3.23 kicker.

Me too and it was a beautiful day
I couldn't tube it today so fished from shore
It was slow all morning for me then mid day the
crappie turned on and it ended up being a real fun day
total of 4 bass 7 crappie 1 carp and a half dozen bluegills and 1 crappie was a toad at 2.6 lbs
Paul my scale was set to kg so the 2.7 bass was just
    under 6 lbs

Bill, I could tell from 75 yards, that was no 3 pound bass!

I was set on giving the lipless crank a good try yesterday! I only got one on it as it literally ricocheted Off a rock and hit the water. That bass must have been waiting with its mouth open. Lost another on the chrome and blue in very shallow water. Thought I would give it a try as it was obvious that shiner fishing was on fire. Maybe a fluke would have been better?

It was a great day fishing as well. I appreciate the tips on baits/techniques Paul, as they apparently worked out pretty well for me :). It was also nice to meet you as well.
