Was able to get out on a school night finally. Decided to throw hardbaits and ultralight for silver and brown but no takers. Didn't expect much until later anyway. Switched to Top water and had a couple swirls. Kept at it and and got one to blow up on it 2X in one retrieve and I hooked it but came off as soon as it bent the rod. Kept on the Top water and got smashed on top put up a good fight and landed it. Solid vina on top water.

Kept throwing top water for 20min and had one more blow up and a half dozen swirls but no more hook ups. Then it got dark and had to get back home.
    Final Count:
    1 Top water Corvina

    Edit: Cropped original pic.

This week is so windy. You just cast out your topwater lure and let the wind do the job, no need to walk the dog.

I know exactly where this fish was landed.

Key to taking pics for the internet
With out giving up spot is blacking out background or in cooler,, on dinner plate

If you love your fishing spot n have respect for the locals that fish the area
    Don't post pics

If your fishing with locals n they seen you land the fish. Why post a pic on the internet of the surrounding area potentialy buring out the spot for others.

Cybor you bad boy. How dare you teasing us with that pix. You made us spend hours and hours of our precious time looking on Google Earth for that secret spot. I had to walk around MB looking for those rocks.

I agree with a lot of what Osprey said. I don't post specific spots for a reason. I don't want other people on the internet finding the spots that I fish. I feel to an extent people should find their own spots and put time in to see where they are biting. Almost all of the best anglers on sdfish don't post the background where they are fishing. They do it for a reason. They put in the time into different spots until one of them turns on and they have earned the reward of getting on the good bite. There were other many other anglers where I was fishing and I knew at least one of them has told there buddies that the fish are biting here. But I have only seen half of them fish that spot before. So that is just a classic example of when someone tells there buddies that the fish are biting in this spot. So suddenly there are 4 other anglers I have never seen before at the spot. So they didn't exactly earn getting put on the fish. A lot of rookies and inexperienced fisherman have a hard time understanding this concept. This ground is easy to know where it is if you fished there before. Whereas if I took a picture of it on concrete, sand, mud, grass, over water, above high tide rocks, or in darkness. It would be more of a guessing game of where I caught the fish at.
This is all my opinion but I know that a lot of other fisherman feel this way. One last thing all spots in San Diego can produce great fishing. You just have to be in the right spot at the right time...
