Jumped on the am, fishing was good. Sliders and a leadhead all you need. Fun as always
Nice ! That pic with the Calico is WON cover worthy right there. Great pictures man..
Woah nice calico. Looked like an ultralight load that day. I'm in awe of all that free rail space.
Damn fatties right there!
Now I’m pumped!! Wife bought me a half day trip on the 28th for my bday. It’s gonna be my first trip. Stoked
fishboy92 is that donkey jig with squid you pulled that calico with?
Whams leadheads/ 3/4 oz sliders.
Were you using a lure or squid
Looks like a sled head with a sliding egg using squid
Sliders and lead head .lol I'm slow to the lure world when I goggle this it shows me something told diffent. Lol is there a name for the exact lure I can ask for
Spearhead Jig Heads | The Longfin
You can ask for them at the landings...
I originally thought it was one of these. It’s got a few different names. Sheepshead jig. Bottom sweeper jig. Banana jig.
Lots of options here
I have yet to use, but like the Berkley Fusion19
That last one looks rad.
The berkley ones are nice. I have a few left for this year.
Waits so just the head theres nothing else to it ...hmm so its pretty much a weight with a colorful head? Whats the difference between this with squid on it and just a normal hook with squid? And a sinker ?
That will depend on species and structure being fished.
These jig heads with a slab of mack or gob of squid or whole shrimp presents larger and also is in the 5/0 - 7/0 range with a longer shank. There's a few other methods in your Sportie thread
