Any one here going on the am or pm? Am says that it is a definite go.
Might be tempted to jump on the pm.

Hard to wrap my head around how they could possibly maintain social distancing on a sportfishing vessel but we'll see:emoji_thinking:

Everyone spread among numbered rail spots? One person at the bait tank at time.... Yeah I don't know.

Seems that way. Here is a direct quote from fisherman's landing dolphin schedule page.
"This Trip is a Definite GO!!! Half-day local fishing targeting Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Bonito, Barracuda, Rock fish, Halibut and more. License and Rental are additional. Crew will be wiping the boat & one person will be allowed in the galley at a time. Masks will be available. Face masks will be required."

Boat is capped at 30 people.

full on insanity....I'm pretty damn sure I'm safer shorefishing alone than I would be on a sportfishing boat:emoji_joy::emoji_joy:

I will be on the AM boat. We will all wear face masks and only 1 person allowed in the galley at a time. I will social distance as best as I can. But agreed shore fishing should be open for sure.

It is ridiculous that the boats will be allowed to run but people can't shore fish. Anyways I hope you do well in the am run. Just reserved myself a spot for the pm trip. If you see a guy with a bright pink rod, give me a wave.

Thanks! Been itching to get out and fish. Was actually thinking about buying a used 14foot livingston skiff, trailer and a used 20hp outboard this afternoon. Not being able to go out to eat, drink at bars, or BBQ with friends has actually made my hobby budget savings grow drastically. My buddy talked me out of driving up and buying all 3 things today. Said to wait until I find a boat in my (meager) budget range that has most of what I want already done or paid for.

Interesting...if it actually does run, I will go out next week. I'm assuming they know something we don't and have been given the ok from the county..

The trips up for booking are not guaranteed to go, the landings all have a notice on their home page the the bookings are there for the case that sportboats are allowed to fish, you pay and if the trip doesn't go then you can request a refund or put the money to a future trip. I would expect about a month at least before boats leave the dock. Don't get me wrong, I wish a boat was leaving in the morning so I could go out but I would expect boats to be in Stage 4 of the plan which is basically normal operation of the state, counties and cities.

There was a post just now on DB that said the DA announced that the boats will not be leaving for at least a month.

They offered me a full refund. I just went for the rebooking since I wanted to still show them my support.

Not only the landings...but our ever loved Everingham Bros.
They are starting to get PBs now that ramps are open. The landings are in process of how to make overnight trips work ....like sleeping foot to foot in bunks to keep the required distancing rules.
We shall see....we all want it to go safe and properly to keep it going. Small Super Ultra Limited Load trips overnight?

According to what was posted, they are collecting u employment now, I have no idea of who that applies to and I don't know how much they are getting. Bottom line, I will be on the boats when they leave the dock and I will tip heavier than my normal heavy tip.
