Dragon fly electronics

    Question does anyone use dragon fly electronics in open water? I want to add to my garmin 74sv no chirp or should i add more expensive simrad, im happy with garmin but feel i need chirp and how good is it at 2 to 3 hundred feet

    I used my old fishfinder to reliably see almost 1k feet in my old kayak.. chirp could be useful if you encounter cerrace scenarios, would you use it tho?

    Yes i would for tuna and metering fish in open water

    For me, chirp would be more useful for detailing a piece of hard structure.. then again, the blob with hook shapes under it was always good enough for me..
