So I’ve had some great success lately with nose hooked drop shot roboworms. We tried wacky rigged robos on dropshot last weekend and it also produced really well, but more of the fish were gut hooked. The nose hook seemed to almost always hook right on the top of the mouth or corner of the jaw. Much easier to remove the hook and much less trauma on the fish. Do you guys see the same? Thanks.

I am weird as you can see by reading my posts....but I throw a Gamakatsu Wide Gap hook when I rig drop shots. Many of you out there may be laughing(especially my buddy Joe when he sees my drop shot rigs over the years) but that is what I use and to each their own. greg614....I still would nose hook the roboworm.

Nose hooked is what I like to do more of but when the grass is thick you have to tex-rig the worm which results in more gut hooked fish. I switched to a small Wide Gap hook because I ran out of the ones like what fisheromen uses. Both work well for me.

I am like goseango, I use a roboworm rebarb ight wire hook Texas rigged. Better hook ups and rarely gut hook any fish.

I use Owner Mosquito hooks for nose and rebarb hooks for Texas rigged. Works pretty well for me.

    Nose hook Robo's

    Wacky rig Senkos

I get the occasional gut hook, but nothing crazy. I use the Gamakatsu TGW (Aaron Marten) DS size 1.
