I am pretty sure I was the guy in the boat near you on Tuesday. I saw you catch your bass and I caught a nice one near you. Don’t you have a Hobie kayak?
Nice job out there and that is a beautiful bass!
    Congratulations on your PB.
    Tight lines :)

I bought two seating pads (used for patio furniture) at Lowe’s and it helped me be more comfortable in my Hobie..but again we are all different and not sure if it would help your back. I have sometimes take a couple Aleves when I get home after a long day. Have you tightened the lumbar support in the back of the seat?
Anyway those were really nice fish and it was fun chatting with you and I’ll probably be out there again and hope to see you.
    Tight lines. :)

Sciatica is a nasty condition. It gets better over time. Early on, I had to lower my seat and shorten up my stroke to relive most of the pain. As I have been going twice a week, I have been able to raise my seat. Much better to fish with a higher seat. It seems like muscle has built up taking the pressure off. Don’t give up. With all the adjustments in the Vantage seat, you should be able to dial in a more comfortable position.

Dealt with sciatica for decades (1980's-2013) traction, physical therapy, meds, multiple leaves of absence you name it. Finally threw in the towel and went under the knife. There was no way I could take the pain any longer. The constant pain is gone but still have bouts that flare up.

I’m a sprightly 59. If only I wasn’t a Mover for 41 years before retiring this year. The back, neck, and feet are really upset. I just get up and fish, thank God for Advil and Tylenol! Helps get the Hobie on the water.
