With the dark, recent & overall history of El Cap & accidents & deaths, along with the rapidly dropping water level, hopefully the city will discontinue water contact activities for the foreseeable future at that res.

Totally agree. Im not being biased either. Every year it seems theres a fatality. Both anglers and recreational. As much as I'd like to see our lakes get more lax with their prices, policies, hours etc, They are going to have a lot on their hands the coming season.

Caps road is soooo bad I won't even drag my boat there and no plans to improve it. No one is there to enforce rules and I'm there at least 2xs a week. I can see caps future and its going the wrong way. I hope city lakes would invest in such a hidden gem but I think they would rather put the money into their pockets.

This mismanagement & lack of rules on the water enforcement at city lakes, leaves the city open to liability litigation when accidents occur.

I’m with you on the unsafe road. I haven’t hauled any of my boats there in 10-15 years, had an issue once where I was leaving the lake and another boater coming to the lake met at the narrowest part. One of us had to back up, guess who that was, and even having launched and retrieved a million times so backing up a trailer is nothing new, it’s still unnerving when you’re at the outside edge of that narrow road.

No water contact? Stupidest rule there is people fall off their skis and float in the water all the time if that's not water contact then what is?
