It's official we are in el nino and it is slowly growing. This will be one of the rarest in history, the first back to back el nino, la nina, el nino, recorded since 1950. What are your thoughts on this freak event?

What information do you have so far? NOAA is the only real one that Ive used in the past, and even they have struck out before. It would be crazy to get another wet winter like this last one!!

Ok so we are no longer in enso and like I said we are in el nino but it is small and growing. They predict it will be in full force by late 2017 in the fall. (NOAA)

Lol.. Hope the sharks come back like two years ago.. I did post that map from earlier this year that showed the current map.. We were right in the middle of a hard current running straight from hawaii... Will look for the latest one.

It wasn't really all that wet. About 20" total, but that last 5" came in one day and that got the streams flowing. Some still are!

Yeah, no doubt! I'm just saying that if that last 5" had come over a period of a month, we might not be enjoying the same effect. I would like to see a 30" year (Ramona) like the early 80's. That would run all the lakes over their spillways! Might give Sutherland a few years to rebound.
