The halibut wouldn't leave my dad and I alone. I got 2 legals (26" and 24") and my dad got one legal (22.5"). We lost count on the number of shorts we caught. All legals caught on smelt. Shorts were caught on smelt, jigpara (15g), duo dragmetal (20g). Birds were diving everywhere, lots of life in the bay today.

Bam ! Great system you and your dad have figured out.. You both ought to enter that Shore Pounders event when the halibut pot is active. I believe the pot is up around $700 now. Hit yourselves a grand slam..

Nice trio man. I like the duo drag metals. You been getting them at ecb&t? I ordered a few from Japan last year for around 5-6$ each. Just saw them at the store last week.

Look at the one on the left. Its curved towards the center . Inverted
Look at the one on the right. Its not even close to being the same type of tail pattern.

The one on the left looks weird because of the photo angle. The sides are curved upward because the fish is dead, and the angle at which I took the photo makes the tail look really weird. The two pictures below are of the 24 and 22.5 inch halibut (the left and middle in original photo) right after I caught them. Tail fins are normal.
