First time catching one this big. First time really going out to target them as well. Went out last weekend. Hooked into one that ran straight under the trees and broke me off. Went back today for redemption at a different angle. This one did the same thing, ran straight under the tree but I was able to keep it on the line. Went from one side of the little pond to the other and back. Wrapped my line around a branch that was sticking up in the water (smart fish) but I was some how able to get it unwrapped without brraking off. Taped at about 26". Ill be back as this wasnt the biggest one there.

Simple ones. Catch the fish I use to as a kid. Larmouth bass, carp, catfish, bluegill and rainbow trout. 2 of 5 are done already. Bonus for any other kind of bass/trout and crappie.

Great fish. Carp are much smarter than bass, worthy adversaries. Don't tell anyone.

I dont about the intelligence part man. The carp picked up the hook 2 or 3 times spat it and ran away before I could hook one. The bass just looked at my other baits I was throwing at them and didnt even try to eat it. Although all 4 or 5 carp would only come and eat when the big one came up with them. When one would come up by itself it would just sniff around and take off.
