I received this email, looks like a good idea to me.
Second picture is what I looked up about the item.
I'd probably would move the brackets closer together to keep the rods from bending.

My garage door shakes and rattles too much opening and closing so I would never mount the brackets there as the rods would shake off. I mount my brackets on the ceiling.

Right now I use the rafters to store the poles. Lots of project poles sitting up there. LOL

I have 4 metal racks with 8 rods each. Some of my outfits still have the tags on them ( I'm a sucker for stuff on sale and some are raffle wins) and have never seen water. Wifey says it's time to thin the herd.:emoji_worried:

My father-in-law stores his this way (he doesn't fish, so they rods havent really moved in years). I keep mine suspended between two bookcases we use for storage in the garage. They hold my 8' rods perfectly, and even the kids 4'6" does a good job sitting up there. Can't do on the garage door cause she would be able to reach them. Pre-rigged rods and 3 year olds dont mix...

The garage is to dusty for my liking so I installed two large hooks high on the wall in my family room and they lay across those. Works great.

i have a round rod rack the wife got me for christmas..but a few years back i got a pool noodle, and put notches in it every 5 inches or so....stuck that to the wall in the garage... rod butt on floor, the rod sat in the notch...cheap...effective...something like this: d3909762ff8772f8c1eaf4956a2be14f.jpg

Anyone devise a rod storage for the back of a hatchback? Carry several 2 piece rods in the back of the Outback to the IV and they always get tangled.

yeah you can use whatever you got...just tie some loops in it to slide the rod...seems to work better than just laying em over the "rope"...
