GOP finds silver lining in Trump’s landslide California loss

California’s 2018 ‘blue wave’ followed by 2020 GOP red riptide | CalMatters

Good news to those of us who like competition in politics.

Although CA is thought of as a blue state, it was not that long ago that we had Republican governors. Reagan and Nixon both came from California. San Diego has had lots of Republican mayors.

Massachusetts routinely elects Republican governors despite being very blue. Republicans can win in CA if they tailor their message to the state. Using the same message that works in Alabama or Oklahoma doesn't work.

If they have to “Tailor” their message to get a vote. No one should trust them.... typical politicians.

Tailoring the message means to emphasize points your audience is interested in. Same thing any successful person in about any field does, not just politicians.

When it comes to politicians, pretty sure tailoring and lying are interchangeable

kind of like Biden “tailoring” his message about fracking

or......Donald Trump promised to build a border wall and make Mexico pay for it. That didn’t happen.
Pure and simple, politicians promise many things and usually do not deliver whether they are a democrat or a republican.

True, but can you honestly name any other president after Reagan who still kept so many of his promises? And, as we just learned that he was cheated by his own administration about the real numbers of the troops deployed in Syria, now he also is making honest attempts to bring more troops home, doesn't he Vinny?

CA elections are routinely stolen, period. This is explained by top democrats owning and directing Dominion which doesn't exclude plain ballot stuffing in the largest cities where it is most profitable and hardest to expose their rigging. They don't care for the rural areas and let them run read because this simply doesn't worth their efforts in the cheating.

    Excerpt:
One could disagree with the substance, but those pretending to be honest and objective observers of President Trump should at least try to understand why “build the wall” and “Mexico will pay for it” became a rallying cry during the last presidential campaign.

The chant reflected voters’ frustration that Mexico was engaging in unfair practices, whether in trade or immigration, while politicians in Washington on both the left and the right did nothing about this.

Candidate Trump promised to change this. If Trump-haters paid attention to this core idea, they might understand why Trump supporters care far more about whether the president builds the wall and strengthen border security than they care about whether Mexico pays for the wall directly or indirectly.
source: Mexico WILL pay for a wall – Trump is right

Also, "Promise made, Promise kept" He did manage to get the Democrats / Nancy Pelosi / "The Resistance" :emoji_joy:
to approve fundings and here is where the wall today

    402 miles long

    border wall.png

Fun fact for the ignorance, did you know it was Democrat Bill Clinton who built the first wall? It started here in San Diego.

and here is one of Obama speech on immigration

Nancy Pelosi: We don't want any more illegals

    Dianne Feinstein opposing ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Chuck Schumer calling illegal aliens criminals

Another fact for ignorance. often I see liberals blaming Trump for the cages. Truth is, it was Obama who "built the cages"

If this can be proven in court, then it is the story of the decade, maybe of the century. If it isn't proven in court, it is just another crackpot conspiracy theory.

Similar accusations are being made countrywide. And Trump's legal team is striking out, even with Republican appointed justices, even with Trump appointed justices.

Looks like it is going to be crackpot conspiracy theory.

Even worse: they cry fraud in public but in court, they have never filed a fraud case. Penalty of Perjury and all that stuff.

Trump’s own attorneys, Giuliani included, have not once uttered fraud in a courtroom under oath. Because they don’t have evidence of fraud. They’ve been lambasted time after time by judges, even Republican, Federalist Society judges. They even withdrew several suits from the courts themselves. Most except for crackpot Rudy have already quit.

When will you open your eyes?

The changes made to NAFTA (USMCA) are relatively small in impact and the agreement still benefits all 3 countries involved; it is not a punitive agreement.

    United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement - Wikipedia

So I don't know where the accounting is that says trade agreements pay for the wall. The speculation was that Trump was going to tax or restrict cross border remittances or charge tolls but that has not happened as far as I can tell. Trump says Mexico will pay for border wall through tolls

As an example, here is what a Trump appointed judge said about one of Rudy's lawsuits:
    upload_2020-11-30_6-24-8.png
A Trump-appointed judge eviscerated the president's biggest election lawsuit in Pennsylvania, saying the campaign's 'claims have no merit'

I’m afraid it’s gonna be more partisan than ever..politricks has changed dramatically and most people are gonna pick a side and stick with it regardless..they will justify all the actions of that party regardless..they will make themselves shown as hypocrites but shrug it off..that’s what we are facing and it’s only going to get worse

But that wall sure did. 415 miles of it to date. I will gladly wave goodbye to my taxes that go to the wall. Having spent 35-40M on the BS Mueller investigation is what pizzes me off.

I agree in someways about the wall results which and agree overall it may be a positive thing ....but Mexico paying for it(Trump campaign promise said several times and even after taking office)and not coming out of US tax dollars did not happen.
All I was saying was Mexico did not pay for the wall.
