Tell me it is just a late April Fools joke, I heard from someone who fished Hodges yesterday, that they are going to drop the lake 10 feet by Wednesday because there is something wrong with the dam, any truth to the story.

Yep. 6 days to three weeks ramp will be closed indefinitely. It;s to 'fix the dam' yet no plan has been implemented/approved as of yet.

Yup it’s true. I heard 30 feet but who knows. Still, the ramp won’t be open. This is so lame. Why didn’t they do it when the lake was closed?

Will definitely ruin the spawn, the lake has been getting better and better each year, so yes lets ruin what I think is the best lake in So-Cal for quality bass.

I heard this as well, but not a confirmed date. I messaged them on instagram but it doesn't seem like they look at it much. I'm going to put my tube in tomorrow so I will know for sure then.

Are they closing the lake? Or will it remain open, but with no boat access?

The ramp was still operational yesterday, but it really looks like it won't be on Saturday. By closing yesterday they had already drained about 1' of it.

It may reduce habitat availability but the bass will spawn just fine.

Called them today. They guy at consession said that they are draining it and it will be closed to boaters. He said they will drain it in the next 3 weeks. He’s not sure what day though. He said it could by any day.

Im pretty sure thats what they do!
But knowing how this city and state works they could just dump it to the ocean even in a drought and no measurable rain in sight!!
