Dave and I hit it for the last time for the 2021 season this past Sunday...

We've been fishing it off and on for most of the summer and it slowed somewhat from the previous 2 but we still have been getting between 6 to 10 ea. so not bad.

    Got there at the Crack...

The East wind was brutal to start the day and was I more than chilly with just my light jacket and shorts on.

Up in the Dam area. I started the day with a nice 2.30 pounder.

I caught a bluegill that couldn't resist the jig. A nice one too from Hodges standard.

We determined it was slower than normal so after 2 hours or so we decided to set up shop on the eastern end...

Absolutely NOBODY on this side of the lake. Pretty much been this way all summer. Dave and I had these crappies all to ourselves...

Dave's skunk lasted no longer as he got busy once we got to the shallow side... Str8t slabs!

Nice way to finish off another good year. Already looking forward to winter El Cap reports and next February's Hodges reports.

    @ Fishbreath

    You know the deal.

I'll be back at El Cap here in a few weeks. Taking a couple off to catch up on the Honey Do's.

    I can't wait either....totally different fishery.

I lost (not exaggerating) 12 jig / roadrunners on my last day @ Hodges. Just kept getting hung up all day for some reason. 3 to 5 is norm.

I can fish El Cap week after week after week with the same jigs and never get caught on something.

Looking forward to that and the fish of course!
