Ive been fishing with simbaits, grubs, and scampi's pretty much since I started fishing for spotties. But im thinking of ordering some them z-man curly tails. I know, I know, im a little late but if they work I might as well try them. I have tried out so many lures and spent so much money on different baits but haven't thought twice to buy some of these indestructible baits. Anyhow with my birthday coming up in 14 days so I was thinking of picking some up. So about what sized hook would you guys use, specifically an owner hook. Also do any of you guys rig em up with an owner bullet head rig? Anyhow thanks guys.

That hook in the 3/16 is the djthrillz special. Works wonders in the grass weedless.

I don't mind ads if they are related to fishing and are put in an appropriate spot like at the header and footer, but singlemuslims popping up right in the middle of someone's comment is pretty annoying. I understand it's to keep funding SDFish, but I don't think it's paying anymore to put an ad where it doesn't belong than to just put it at the top/bottom.

would a sled head work the same? Seems the same except for the twist lock on it.

also, where can you buy these in a shop? I have looked at turners and havent seen them. Maybe I was at the wrong one or just wrong time?

sorry to thread jack. to add to your question/clarify? what size...3/0 4/0?

The 4/0 on a sleadhead is too big, I like those for the gulp flukes. These ones have 1/0.

right on thanks. Yeah I use them for zoom super flukes and they work great. 4/0 1/4oz.

I am in the same boat and have never used the zman curl tails. But have also seen people rave about them and have wanted to give them a try. Just need to find a place that sells them.
