It's raining full speed in my neighborhood. Any word on how much this round of storms will effect Barrett?

This bunch of storms will likely get the streams running. Up til now all the rain has been soaking in. When the streams begin to consistently run, then we will see the lake levels rise. Can't wait to see the lakes at full pool.

RKMM broke down the math for us in a thread somewhere on here... Probably gonna need a few good storms to really make a noticeable difference.

This was for El Cap a year ago in response to an email I got from someone:

A gauge change of 0.02 feet results in a storage change of 36.8 AF (acre feet) of water. One Acre foot of water is 325,851.4 gallons. So it takes a considerable amount of water to raise the water level anything noticeable.

Barrett's gauge on Dec. 28 was 73.80 and 1,802.4 AF of water stored (dang that seems small....). January 4 the gauge was 73.96 with 1,818.1 AF of water stored. so a level change of 0.16 is a storage change of 15.70 AF.

The math may change depending on water level too, seeing as how the lakes are wide at the top it would take more to fill the lake the higher the level goes.

I can't wait until I can get access to the webpages again, except then I will be having to update both the old webpages and the new ones weekly

Actually they can add to Barrett via Morena. But since the city has already destroyed Morena, Kellen is right. Looks like we are dependent on the rain now. And for the moment, that aint looking to good.

So sad they need to start charging people to park at Murray and miramar to buy some water to air lifted into this lake
